High Flight

This is a poem that was read at my Grandfathers funeral. I was privileged to be named after him. A WW2 vet and Col. in the United States Air force. A true man of God!
Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth
And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
Sunward I’ve climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth
of sun-split clouds, — and done a hundred things
You have not dreamed of — wheeled and soared and swung
High in the sunlit silence. Hov’ring there,
I’ve chased the shouting wind along, and flung
My eager craft through footless halls of air....
Up, up the long, delirious, burning blue
I’ve topped the wind-swept heights with easy grace.
Where never lark or even eagle flew —
And, while with silent lifting mind I’ve trod
The high untrespassed sanctity of space,
Put out my hand, and touched the face of God.

The Work...

We are all standing ontop of the wall. Building, reparing, working hard in the hot sun. With sward in one hand and the trowel in the other. We are building the wall. Our friends behind us with bow and spear ready, we continue to build the wall........

Nehemiah 4
Here we see an amazing picture of unity in the Body of Christ. Every man it says in verse (whatever) had a mind to the work. Every man in the vision, no turning back, no giving up, not occupied with the resistance of anyone around them. Not discouraged by the words of the world.

We are all  a part of something so much bigger than we can even dream of. We just stand where God has us building the wall. one stone at a time. and then all the sudden we look down and see the wall is finished. We didnt even see anything else going on. But every person is doing the work that God has them doing. then we can step back and see the finished work of the cross of Jesus Christ! Amazing! Wonderful! Powerful!

We are a part of this, even if our part is "small" or "insignificant" there are no such words in Gods vocabulary. We are fitley framed together Eph. 2:21. Each of us is a part of the whole. Jesus is the Head we are the members. Nothing can separate us from the Head. What an honor it is to be here in Brasov Romania. Teaching, preaching, receiving the Word HIS WORD. Amen! You are awesome for reading this. Keep us in prayer (its needed) :). No pictures today I will post some soon! God Bless!

The Glory of God

2 Chronicles 7:1-3
"Now when Solomon had made an end of praying, the fire came down from heaven, and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices; and the glory of the Lord filled the house. And the priests could not enter into the house of the Lord, because of the glory of the Lord had filled the Lord's house. And when all the children of Israel saw how the fire came down, and the glory of the Lord upon the house, they bowed themselves with their faces to the ground upon the pavement and worshiped and praised the Lord saying for he is good for his mercy endureth forever."

This past weekend I was in Chisinau Moldova building up the church body there. In this city we have a small but amazing group of believers. So a team of 9 (3 Americans, 5 Romanians, 1 Hungarian) *hope the math is right* got into a van and drove the 7 hours. I was my 3rd time visiting the church and the city. THE PEOPLE ARE OPEN! I sat with a young man (22 years old) for about an hour sharing the Gospel with Him. He really opened up his heart to the Lord. At the end of the conversation he told he that he knew God sent me to him. I told him "no it was God who sent YOU to me".
God is always putting people in our path so His glory can be manifested.

While a group of us where on a bus going back to the apartment for a Bible study. We were all laughing and just having fun. I looked around at the other people on the bus. The expressions on the faces looked of hoplessness. So, me being me, I just started going to everyone and giving them candy. Well I dont think that happens ever, because at first they looked at me like I was crazy. But one by one they accepted with a smile on their faces. Then one old woman asked me if I was celibrating the "Day of the Dead". I told her its the "DAY OF LIFE". It was an open door to once again share God's message of the free gift of salvation.  :) :) It was a great DAY!
Ok back to the point of this...................................
Soloman prayed and the house of the Lord was filled with the glory of God. And even the priests could not enter. What an amazing thing! When we are filled with the glory of God the law can not come in. My friends we are not under the law, but under the GRACE of GOD!! The law has no place in the temple where the Lord's glory is. We are the temple, WE have the HOLY SPIRIT in us. NOT THE LAW! I thank you for reading this...here are some pictures from the trip. God Bless

In every situation Christ is there!

To be honest I have tried my best to not start a "blog". Why? Simple reason that I have no idea really why anyone in their right state of mind would read such things that I would write. But after many of you have asked me so many times..."do you have a blog?" or "why dont you have a blog?". I have been forced to sit here and write all about what God is doing here in Romania.

But 1st for you who really dont know me all that well. I'll give you a small sample of who I am. I am a missionary from Greater Grace World Outreach. I am a teacher at Greater Grace International School in Brasov Romania. My job is to instruct children from all around the world in the areas of Hisotry, Biology, and whatever else is needed all in the English language :). But I am not just a teacher of subjects, I also have the freedom to teach about Jesus Christ's finished work on the cross. The very fact that we are an international school means that children from all sorts of backgrounds and cultures and countries get not just a great education but also an eternal perspective from God himself through the Bible.

My mission field? My students and their families. I had a parent tell me the other day "I do not agree with what you teach my children about God, but I know it is good for them". That is an amazing statement from a non-believing parent. The world does not understand why I do what I do but they see something special in it.
Nor do I understand what I'm doing half the time :)...but God is working in me and through me.

In every situation no matter how big or small...we will see the hand of Christ guiding us in it. Fun and new and exciting things are going on here in Romania. God is huge we are small. I am amazed! Ok off for now. Pray because today a team of us are going to Moldova to build up the church there for the weekend! More pics and posts to come!

"For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God." 1 Cor 1:18

Who's wisdom do I want? I want God's. I want to show others how "foolish" I am to believe that it is true that my sins are forgiven. This is my 1st post. I hope to have many more to come. I hope that you will be built up, encouraged, and refreshed when you read this. There is so much to share so much to write, so much to say.
